Discover the best that the surroundings of Silver Bear cottage have to offer! Whether you like active relaxation, natural beauty or historical sights, you will find many attractions here. Did you know that the mining monuments in the Saxon and Bohemian Erzgebirge were inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2019? What's more, just a few minutes away from the cabin, there are places with a rich history that are linked to the history of our country.

For nature lovers, we offer several beautiful hiking trails that will take you into the picturesque landscape around the cottage.

Looking for tips for trips and experiences?

There are several great cycling trails in the area, including downhill routes. You can find cycle paths on Alltrails or Bikemap.

If you want to relax, Agricola Aquacentre with large saunas and relaxation areas is located in Jáchymov (5 minutes by car). For a bigger experience, you can also visit Aqua Marien water park in Germany, which is about 50 minutes away.

For lovers of good food, we recommend Jezírko restaurant (we recommend booking in advance), Havlovka restaurant, where they serve delicious blueberry dumplings, or the stylish Červený Vlk restaurant.

If you like craft beer, visit the Rudohor microbrewery, which is just a 10-minute drive from the cottage.

If you need to buy basic groceries such as bread, we recommend Konzum Čáda in Boží Dar, which is only a 5-minute drive away. For larger purchases we recommend going to Ostrov, where there are many different supermarkets such as Tesco, Kaufland, Lidl.

If you prefer cycling, we recommend using the Trailpark or Yettiride electric bike rental services, which are nearby.

For those who like history, we recommend a visit to the local museums or a trip to a historic mine nearby.

Trip to Karlovy Vary

Just 25 minutes by car is the well-known Karlovy Vary, famous for its spa and beautiful historic centre. A stroll along the colonnades and a taste of the local healing springs is definitely worth it!

If you are downhill skiing enthusiast, do not miss a visit to Klínovec or Oberwiesenthal. Just a few minutes drive from our cabin, you will find modern lifts, perfectly groomed slopes of all levels of difficulty and spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. Klínovec is ideal for beginners and experienced skiers alike who want to enjoy the adrenaline rush on long and varied slopes.

Renovated cottage with cosy and clean rooms, large communal dining room, party room with tap and garden with fire pit. Beautiful views, quiet and close to Karlovy Vary. For a group of friends or several families, this is a great place for relaxation and hiking. Clean and cozy. I highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The cottage is great for staying with friends or family and is in an excellent location. There are many activities near the cottage and in the winter close to cross country skiing or ski areas. We will definitely repeat our stay ;)
